I always drive past this place going to work and decided to roll the dice on it. Best decision of my life. Walking inside I could hear the cashier on the phone with someone diffucult, but she was cool as a clam. Upon taking my order she offered excellent suggestions of what to order and they followed through. Best orange chicken I've ever had the pleasure of eating, I'd 1000% recommend this to anyone looking for the real deal.
My family used to go to the China Sun location in Plano back in the 1990's, it was a family favorite. That location has long since closed, but I make the trip up to McKinney every once in a while just to eat here. It is to this day my favorite Chinese restaurant, and I'm thrilled that they're still around. We have loads of Chinese restaurants in Plano, but I still can't find one near me that I like as much as China Sun. The food is very savory, and more flavorful than most these days. It seems like almost nothing about the menu or recipes has changed much in the last 30 years, and that's a good thing. The owner (same one!) is very sweet. I couldn't be happier to spend my money here. The food is always delicious.
I have enjoyed this restaurant for probably 20 years. I have tried lots of different meals. You cannot go wrong with almond chicken or vegetable beef. My children enjoy the sweet-and-sour chicken. I love the hot and sour soup and the crab rangoons. The wait staff at the counter are mostly easy to understand. The restrooms are clean but small. Be careful, that soup comes out very hot and delicious.
I love the food here. I have problem with dirty oil in restaurants where my stomach can detect it and I get sick from it. I get it that most restaurants use oil for a long time but this place by far is the only place I know in the whole DFW that uses fresh oil to cook their food. Great job!
Their food is AMAZING it is so soft and the shrimp fried rice is PERFECT, The Lo Mein EVEN BETTER I love their food, I honestly dont know why no one is talking about it,
Food is always on and plenty of food. I order by phone and have food delivered. Longest we ever had to wit was 40 minutes. The lady taking order explained they were really busy, so we expected. I didn't take pictures of last order but I will next time. I recommend this place anytime
